The other night I made my book club author appearance debut! It was a book club in California and I stayed up way past my bedtime to Skype with them. It was very fun. Even more fun than I thought it would be. And I thought it was going to be really fun, so imagine the level of fun-ness I am describing here. In a couple of weeks I will be meeting with another book club. This time local and in person.
Would I do this with your book club?
OF COURSE!
Any time, you wonder?
YES! Pretty much. You know, within reason, but I am very flexible and accommodating, so your chances are excellent!
There’s actually a form on my website (click HERE) where you can officially request an official book club appearance! Don’t have a book club? Start one! They are super-fun and no one ever got dumber from reading. Well, mostly. I read a lot of Sweet Valley High and maybe I was supposed to be a math genius. Maybe I was supposed to be a doctor or a rocket scientist (is that a real profession?). Maybe a Prime Minister. Who knows. Maybe it wasn’t all the Sweet Valley High and was actually all the 80s sitcoms. Yeah—it definitely was NOT Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield’s fault that I am bad at math. And all that other stuff. Also, book clubs (because book clubs are the topic of this blog post) are a totally legitimate reason to drink wine. Not that you need one, but you know ...
I love the idea of meeting with book clubs all over the place, so go get your people together, read the book, buy one of those giant bottles of wine and fill out my official form. You know you want some wine and I have provided you with a totally legitimate reason. (You're welcome.)
